TFT Notes: Pearl Jam kick off the fourth leg of their tour supporting 2006's Pearl Jam. This is the band's first show in Sydney since February 2003. The "W.M.A." "Daughter" tag is followed by Ed doing the call and response with the crowd. "Even Flow" featured an extended Mike McCready solo, followed by a Matt Cameron drum solo, with everyone else moving to the side of stage. "Big Wave" is dedicated to the famous surfer and Ed's friend from Australia, Mark Richards. During "Grievance", Ed flubs "break the innocent when they're proud" line, and seamlessly changes the next line to "I'm not perfect I let you down". Before "Man of The Hour", Ed references that November 7 is election day (State/Local elections, not Presidential) in the United States, and jokes that he'll be looking for a beach-side shack in Australia if the elections go poorly. Jeff and Matt take their turns gesturing to Ed that they want one for them too, and Ed jokes "we could get one for Jeff and Matt and then we'll play for free every month". At one point in the show, Ed references the Melbourne Cup horse race which was held earlier in the day, and says Matt "could beat them all - he's one fine thoroughbred."
